First Line

December 22, 2020 by Bill McNulty

For months, Covid 19 has been in the air.
IC nurses with the patients in their care.
PPE, what the medical team wears every day.
Another shift, starting to feel like instant replay.
Doctors, hear the frustration in their voice.
Treating patients, there with no other choice.
Virus isolation means no visitors at all.
Loneliness makes you feel so small.
Medical team working to relieve a patient’s pain.
Valiant treatment in their hands, so often in vain.
Always there to offer their patients much comfort.
We salute the medical team and all their support.
