The Wait

August 4, 2022 by Bill McNulty

So many things we wait for in our life.

No wonder we always cause a little strife.

Army parade day motto “hurry up and wait”

Hurry up, let’s go, you never want to be late.

Doctor visit, waiting to hear what they will say.

Can’t wait til later, we need the report today

We wait to see which way the market will move.

A tedious wait when you have something to prove

Waiting for the evening rush hour traffic to clear

Waiting in a long line which you want to disappear.

Easy to get edgy when the wait takes so long.

All along, you have to think, just stay strong.
