I can stop, I won’t take another bite.
No more chocolate, nothing tonight.
No more hot fudge on chocolate ice cream.
Not even chocolate in my next dream.
Let’s pretend there’s no more chocolate.
And there’s no brownies that I can get.
To Hersey kisses, we say a fond goodbye.
I guess I never will taste chocolate pie.
Chocolate chip cookies are definitely out.
Yep, I am a chocoholic without any doubt.
No more chocolate and that will really hurt.
By the way, after dinner, what is for dessert?

Just Desserts
Oh dear bathroom scale on the floor.
Who is the one that I adore?
May the weight that you show be lower than before.
If you cooperate, then I can eat some more.
A slice of pumpkin pie with whipped cream,
And enough chocolate, more than you can dream.
Snickers and Butterfingers, all by the pound,
A bite of this and soon you are nice and round.
Some exercise to burn off a calorie,
Wake and swim enough for all to see.
You want to lose that tummy.
So it will be a leaner me.
The Fine Art of Noshing
Noshing, a small snack to enjoy between meals.
A delicious mouthwatering bite that appeals.
Not really hungry but can always take a taste.
Mother always told us nothing goes to waste.
Is it a nosh, if you only take one little bite?
What is meant, when they say eating light?
Noshing leftovers, a bite here and there.
With too many bites, the cupboard is bare.
And if I do this all perfect and just right,
I can nosh, when my wife is not in sight.
Speed Limit Only a Suggestion
So as you travel the highways working through congestion,
Can we assume that local speed limit is only a suggestion?
You drive the speed limit and stay in your lane.
Other drivers give you the look, you’re not sane.
And the cars speed by, late, never a doubt.
Of course, there are no patrol cars about.
We hit the highways for any holiday getaway.
Are the speed limits there for us to obey?
Stay out of the left lane, if you drive too slow.
Are there really Rules of the Road, we should know.?
The Hour That I Lost
All day long, I have been looking at the clock tower.
Wishing that this spring, I didn’t have to lose one hour.
All of a sudden, seven o’clock is now eight.
No matter how much you hurry, you will be late.
I vote for no time change at all.
We have to do it again in the fall.
While as the sun sets, there is more time to play.
There is still only 24 hours in every day.
The Daily Grind
What drummers do we march to in the Daily Grind?
Always doing our best to never lag or fall behind.
The struggle to keep up with all of mankind.
Schedules and “to do” lists always in mind.
At times knowing your mission is still undefined.
Planning, objectives can be improved and refined.
To reach your goal, do you have to be a mastermind?
Perhaps just have all your steps clearly outlined.
Take whatever luck along the road that you find.
Along the journey that we call the Daily Grind.
