Sometimes I wonder if what I write makes a difference. I watched Peter, Paul and Mary in one of their last concerts on PBS last night. Their songs of protest have been sung for generations. I sincerely believe their music has made a difference and delivered a lasting message. On any news broadcast, there are protesters on the street carrying the signs of protest and chanting words of their cause. True or not, the elected officials on many levels seem to have their own agenda. In my case, I think there is a time to play Don Quixote and campaign for a cause you can never win and there is a time to work in local events and make a difference. I volunteer in my own neighborhood where I believe I can make a difference. Getting media attention does not mean you have a cause you can win. Yes, I understand you want to get your message out to others. It seems like the same message gets delivered and repeated with little changing.
Just my humble opinion
