Street Sounds

January 27, 2023 by Bill McNulty

Sitting in the park, hear the traffic roll by.

Amazing the sounds you hear, if you try.

You can hear the car engine roar,

Driver has the pedal to the floor.

The strains of the truck engine pulling a load.

Without seeing, you hear the traffic on the road.

You hear the car horn, someone can’t wait.

Work or better yet, it may be a hot date.

Sirens sound, there’s an emergency someplace.

Some cars sound like they are gearing up for a race.

The noise of a Harley with sounds everyone knows.

Now I wonder if traffic slows down when it snows.
