No poem today but a book that Carol Fradkin, a friend of mine, wrote.
Countless interviews from youngsters to the older generations may offer some interesting answers for you to consider. Check it out.

Spring is here and the young birds begin to hatch.
Spring training and ball players at pitch and catch.
You see young boys get older and stronger.
The hours of daylight get brighter and longer.
More birds winging north can be seen,
As trees and grass begin to turn green.
Student’s homework will soon disappear.
As they now can see the end of the school year.
We compare notes on a summer vacation plan.
And hope springs eternal for every baseball fan.

It has been one year since I started my blog for poetry. I thank you for the encouragement and wonderful comments on the poems that I post. Thank you to Jeff Lewis who introduced me to this blog program, WordPress, and to my granddaughter, Ania, who pointed out how to make more use of the editing tools. I continue to watch and listen for ideas and concepts to write poems that you will enjoy. I feel honored that those of you that have returned to writing give me some credit for encouraging you. It touches both my ego and my heart.
May this next year be a great year for us all.

You wear your team colors and go to the game,
Pulling for your team to bring you no shame.
You root for the players as loud as you can,
And praying that they won’t be an also ran.
They can’t hit the ball and they can’t do that.
Things would be different if I wore the manager’s hat.
You check the box score to see who did what,
Which players stay and who may get cut.
Errors in play that make you want to get another beer.
Oh well, just think, there is always next year.

Some people talk and their hands are always in motion.
Some people speak and they always cause a commotion.
There are those who boast they can take on the whole human race.
There are those with no reason, always have a frown on their face.
There are youngsters that you see and want to know more.
You wonder what the future generation will have in store.
And there are those in a hurry going nowhere.
There are fools who will do anything on a dare.
Parents there to cheer for their kids at any game.
Always wanting the young stars to gain some fame.
Worldwide violence where terrorists kill everyone with no shame.
Some with a recent loss knowing their life will never be the same.
This one talks loud just to make a point.
That one acts like he just smoked a joint.
Ball caps people wear to support their team.
The wanderers walk around always in a dream.
Notice those in the corner trying not to be heard.
Probably every word they speak is totally absurd.
Watch carefully and tell me what you see.
Will one scene create a lasting memory?
