Sometimes, a sweet sister can irritating as hell.

But most of the time, she is there to wish me well.

Good days and bad, she’s only a phone call away.

Memories of family time bring back many a yesterday.

Family stories that only that wonderful sister will hear.

Sad times, family losses, time to share and shed a tear.

Sweet sisters, always there to tell you that you are wrong.

At the same time, sibling love, still there, ever so strong.

Never know when that sweet sister will suddenly appear.

Now you know why I hold that charming  sister so dear.

You hear the lyric, and it goes right to your heart.

Defining love with music, the best way to start.

For each of us, a country song or a Broadway show,

Those love song lyrics that make you think of your beau.

Lyrics you repeat and repeat until you just know

Lovers’ music that helps your love grow and grow.

Words in a song with feelings you must share,

With that special person that makes you a pair.

Love songs of decades ago and those of recent years

As the saying goes, it’s always music to your ears.

Pills for everything on the shelves of the drugstore.

Some with warnings that you should never ignore.

Pills to go to sleep and something else to be awake.

There’s that special one for that tender tummy ache.

Swallow the pill and hope for the relief it will bring.

Pains, strains, aches, use that lotion for everything

Morning and night, you take a pill and another pill.

Before you know it, there’s another script to fill.

When your back hurts, which pill do you take.

Watch the ads, always a new one they make

No doubt there’s also one for the  gas that you pass.

Is there a pill for someone who is a pain in the ass?

Are you fashionable and stylish and setting new trends?

Is what you are wearing, what everyone recommends?

Who says what will be in style this year or any year?

Some fashions last and some fashions disappear.

Men’s ties, narrow, wide, color or just set aside.

Like or dislike, what to wear, you must decide

Ladies’ dresses, with color and cuts that always change

Some fashion statements look strange and are strange.

And that old jacket that’s been in your closet for a while.

Don’t look now, guess what, that jacket is back in style.

So, will it be beer or wine when you dine?

Notice that you swig beer but you sip wine.

At the pub, what do you enjoy, is it light or dark ale?

Check the wine list, impresses the ladies without fail.

With the game and pizza, you know it’s beer.

Check the wine vintage and ask what year.

Know that each beer or wine has its own glass.

When you know each style, does that show class?

With beer, do you have to enjoy the beer nuts?

With wine, I think it has to be fancy cheese cuts.

So much to learn to drink your beverage right.

With these facts, what you are drinking tonight?

For some it just gets us where we want to go

For some it’s all about style, speed and show.

A muscle car with speed when you step on the gas

Showing off style with every car you can pass

Bumper stickers, vanity plates always get a second look.

Young jocks looking for speed to make the record book.

Young teens learning, 5 miles under the speed limit

Older folks still driving, 5 miles under in their own orbit.

Young or old, some turns driving, cautiously a bit wide.

To the destination driving in your car, just enjoy the ride.
