For those who are always on the front line.
When asked to help, they never decline.
First responders, ER and the entire medical team
With a nightmare beyond anything you can dream.
Neighbors helping neighbors on every street.
Saying HI, from the distance of at least six feet.
Police and firemen still working their beat.
Teachers aiding students via a Zoom meet.
Everyone working to those in our care, SAFE today,
So we can all return to our world of yesterday.

Our books of poems are now on Kindle
For all those who have enjoyed our poems on our blog
or Facebook, we thank you.
We have 3 books that have been available on Amazon in paper
since they were first published. As of today, they are also
available on Amazon Kindle. Stuck in the house as we all should,
download one or more of our books and send me a note if one of
our verses touched you. Remember sales of all these books are
donated to Alzheimer’s Research or the Stephen McNulty Fund
at Congregation Or Shalom.

Homebound Two
Still stuck in the house, most of the time.
Working on creating yet one more rhyme.
Following the news as it says the same thing.
Awaiting a delivery that Amazon will bring.
Another phone call to check up on a friend.
Nice hearing he’s well and on the mend.
Books to read or which solitaire to play.
Hallmark movie with romance on display.
Now we all have to learn how to use Zoom.
As it brings, friends and programs into the room.
And so we have another verse created today.
Which I plan to share and post without delay.
Homebound
So what do you do when you’re isolated at home?
Maybe it’s time to just let your imagination roam.
What about that recipe you always wanted to try?
Reread that romance novel that makes you cry.
You can always rearrange your sock drawer.
Watch old sitcoms that leaves you wanting more.
No one would listen if I said you can exercise.
Be creative in a new poem and see how it flies.
Name one thing you have on your bucket list.
Consider this an opportunity not to be missed.
Can You Imagine
Can you imagine what the world could be,
All the great wonders that we all would see.
Where differences make no difference.
Where it’s easy to define common sense.
Where a middle ground is always within reach.
Where respect for others will be easy to teach.
Where there’s always a good neighbor next door.
Where there are new worlds to travel and explore.
Where health and happiness are there for all to enjoy.
Where there’s a bright future for every girl and boy.
Something to work for with everyone doing their thing.
Just imagine the future and what tomorrow can bring.
Five Years Later
Greetings
Five years ago, on March 21, 2015, I posted my first poem on this blog. My granddaughter, Ania, helped me get started and I am forever grateful to her. The first poem that I posted was the “Sounds of Life.” Since then, I have posted over 250 verses. At times, it was asking questions of how some events happen. I was never above poking fun at myself. I touched on sports, politics, family and the weather among many other topics. The majority of my poems were also posted on Facebook. The compliments and comments are always appreciated. I think my brother, Dave, has made positive comments on almost all of my verses. About one year ago, my friend, Steve Leventhal, helped me into a new format for our blog and set up my website to promote our book sales. To all, I say thank you.
You can always send me a note at bmcnulty40@gmail.com. I am always looking for people to add to our blog list. Should you have topics that you think I can be creative and write a poem about, please send me a note.
