There are song titles that are meant to inspire.
Hear the words, and they lift your spirits higher.
For today’s troubled times, “ I Will Survive”
Gloria Gaynor’s lyrics have that needed drive.
“Heal the World”, a Michael Jackson song.
Today, with that title, you can’t go wrong.
“Don’t Stop Believin” and “Lean On Me”
Or how about “Hero” by Mariah Carey?
Do you need to set an emotional scene?
Play “We are the Champions” by Queen.
“Climb Every Mountain” always will ring in my ear.
“Dream the Impossible Dream” overcome any fear.
Lennon’s “Imagine”or Kelly Clarkson “Stronger”
Remembering verses, the list just gets longer.
A meaningful refrain, always playing in our mind.
Inspiring you to do your part to help mankind.

Climate Change
Climate change, are you doing your part?
You’re not, don’t you think it’s time to start?
Think about reducing your daily energy use.
Recycling not done is a form of daily abuse.
Consider car pooling rather than driving alone.
Examine what bad practices you may now own.
Have plastic containers you never throw away.
Consume less, waste less, practice every day.
Protect all of nature, the forest and the trees.
Small steps to help our children’s future, please.
Children’s Questions
This poem was created 5 years ago. I updated a few lines and share with you today.
From the young child that filled your tummy,
You can hear the same cry, Why not Mummy?
From the child that loudly beat the toy drum,
Comes the question, where do babies come from?
From the child who disobeyed, regardless of what you said,
Every night you can hear, Mama why do I have to go to bed?
From the child who always starts with a big sigh,
What comes next will be, Mommy, why can’t I?
From the child you always told wait ‘til you get older,
Now older but still may rest a head on your shoulder.
From the child who arrived before she was due,
She never stops asking you, do I really have to?
From the child who pushed the limit each and every day,
The line that you always hear, can I go out and play?
No matter what they say or what we have to say,
We smile with great pride on their wedding day.
Homebound Three
We start another week of being homebound.
Still creating and posting verses by the pound.
Texts and email to see what friends have to say.
Checking to see what movies we watch today.
The memories in old pictures that we find.
Me dressed as Big Bird will blow your mind.
Always looking to see what new on the news.
Wondering what’s up with our leader’s views.
Locally trying to help those really in need.
Just trying to help with a small good deed.
There’s always the sock drawer to rearrange.
Stuck in the house is no longer so strange.
All Hands On Deck
“All hands on deck” and many answer the call.
So many behind the scenes standing tall.
Drivers delivering their load every day.
Support for responders on daily display.
Extra daily effort from every cleaning crew.
All surfaces cleansed through and through.
Meals being prepared for those on the line.
Ready for responders when it’s time to dine.
And so many more serving that we never see.
Making a mark never to be recorded in history.
Everyone doing what’s needed to keep us strong.
Silent heroes that have been here all along.
Window into the World
Amazing all the things you learn and know.
When you peek into your computer window.
Work at home with a paycheck to earn.
Study at home with a lesson to learn.
Video chats with family and friends.
New technology learning never ends.
Order online and soon it’s at your door.
Museums waiting for you to explore.
More windows to open from your laptop
May the world keep going and never stop.
