There are some rhymes in my head that I rehearse

When it’s time to create and share a Monday verse

Some ideas just may need extra time to percolate.

We will think it out and save to use at a later date

I love writing and sharing and it is never any curse

Even if some of my thoughts may be a little perverse

Some lines, I write then I just have to rule them out

Always dreaming about what else I can write about

Lately I discover my poem to share I posted yesterday

Monday’s verse will now have to wait until Tuesday

Sometimes a voice in your head echoes and echoes

You can’t help but wonder what that voice really knows.

Now a voice so distinctive, you will know it anywhere

How about a sporty voice, always a challenge and dare

Children’s light voices wanting you to come out and play

Dad’s voice with advice you still want to listen to today

Voices with questions that there are no answers for.

Voices so melodic you can’t wait to hear them more

The salesman’s voice that must be confident and sincere

Of course, your wife’s sweet voice is listed as a must hear.

Does wisdom come with that first grey hair?

Wisdom and grey hair often need some repair.

Smarts gained by aging, wisdom beyond compare.

When your hair turns grey, how will you fare?

So what does grey hair really say about your age?

Is your mind active to let your brain really engage.

It’s said that stress and worry can add a little grey.

If grey adds wisdom, who on earth can really say.

The world and all may be so easy to convince

When you hide it all with a little color and rinse.

As the snow falls, you know winter is here

Remember that snow driving is low gear

Roads are plowed until they are just right

You see snow covered trees, a beautiful sight

Snowmen, sleds, kids love playing in the snow

Outside, always careful, when the temps are low

Inside, we sit and watch the snowflakes fall.

Outside, there can always be a flying snowball

Yep, old man winter is just doing his thing.

For me, just can’t wait for it to be spring.

There’s always something special about game day.

Player or fan, home team emotions are on display.

Who’s in the lineup and who’s on the sideline.

And the breaking news on your sports grapevine.

Game day traditions, do they help your team win.

Second guessing as popular as it has ever been.

Team jersey with your favorite player’s name

Get to your seats before the start of the game.

Win or lose, your team to always cheer for.

Now on your feet, every time that they score.

Sometimes you have to agree to disagree

For the visions you want the world to be.

Differences give you a taste of everything

Think of choir where you need all to sing.

Freedom is valued when all speak up and speak out.

Sharing opinions and thoughts is what it’s all about.

Can you sit and listen to what others have to say?

Never let your preconceived notions get in the way.

Learn what is news, fact or fiction or outright lies.

Know when to hold the line or try to compremise.

Listening carefully is a skill we all should learn

What will you do when there’s respect to earn?
