That first draft is where every writer’s story begins.

At times you can’t help but wonder about story origins

While many authors write and practice their craft.

You know their first effort will only be a first draft.

That first draft with character flaws sets the stage

To get the reader to turn the page and totally engage

Rewrite and edit and your story really takes shape

Now your reader wonders if the hero can escape

Creative ideas flow, do I really want another plot twist.

Try love and romance now that he and she have kissed

Doesn’t every first draft need some editing and repair

That first draft becomes a story that you are ready to share

Are there pictures that you can’t get out of your mind?

Perhaps a vivid snapshot of your dreams for humankind?

Picture children growing up, choices that are theirs to make.

Can you see them with little, if any, real heartache

The real challenge to paint a picture filled with hope for all to see.

A photo image gives everyone opportunity in every community.

Some pictures louder than any words you may hear

Some pictures with memories that come with a tear

Always images and pictures so easy to replay

Heartfelt pictures remain forever and a day

Do you ever question if you had the right words to say

Ever wish you could take back words said yesterday

Maybe to redo a message to deliver loud and clear

No maybe when you say, glad you are well and here

Maybe you want to share words when there are none.

No maybe when you offer praise and say job well done.

Maybe the meaning of your words just came out wrong.

Maybe the tone of your voice with words was too strong.

The right words can keep everyone on the right track.

The wrong words spoken, you can never take back.

Do you notice that when you use the facility

Doing what is a total normal body necessity

The TP you use can really be on the skimpy side.

One ply TP roll may be one you really want to hide.

The one ply question is do you need one wipe or two.

Without question, you will do what you have to do.

No doubt with two ply TP, what everyone should know.

Your tush is treated so much better when you have to go.

Wipe the cheeks and definitely everywhere in between.

Now you know that with 2 ply you will come away clean.

Getting it right, that should be the goal

Done right, success can touch the soul

Sometimes, success is getting the lucky breaks.

Getting it right, can be learning from past mistakes

Sometimes, it’s just believing that you can

Believe and then go execute the game plan

You may be inspired by what you read

Getting it right may have you in the lead

The future for all may be ever so bright

When you inspire others to get it right.

Prepare a tasty pot roast and its dinner

Poker pot, holding aces, maybe a winner

Smoke pot, who knows what you will forget.

Stir the pot, and who knows what you will get

With potluck and pot of gold you can really score

That potbelly might not even let you through the door

Fresh coffee pot, there’s a cup of joe for me to pour.

There’s always a crackpot that we all should ignore.

Growing pot, pot stickers and always, chicken pot pie.

And for nasty colds, there’s the Neti pot for you to try.

When it comes to pot, we sure have written a lot.
