Heart To Heart

February 16, 2026 by Bill McNulty

Have you been part of the heart-to-heart talk

Does a scene touch your heart on a nature walk

Now Valetine’s Day with a BIG heart on display

How often do you touch your heart when you pray

If you draw the Ace of Hearts and you may win the game.

False words when you cross your heart brings you shame

Speaking from the heart should always set you apart.

Best is when the lady of your dreams steals your heart.

Still Holding Hands

February 9, 2026 by Bill McNulty

Years ago, we exchanged vows and wedding bands

Today, we still walk through our life holding hands

Still so much love to share as our fingers intertwine

Walking anywhere, at any time, your hand in mine.

Valetine’s Day, birthdays, and every day of the year

Walking, holding hands of the one that I hold so dear

Sometimes, holding those loving hands is not by chance.

As we both believe in that old fashioned thing, romance.

I Can Do That

February 2, 2026 by Bill McNulty

I try not to sound like a childish brat

When I proudly exclaim, I can do that

Friends issue a challenge, a friendly dare

The competitive nature for me is in the air

The dare to get on stage and sing a new song

I can do that and no lyrics will be sung wrong

B Ball time I will sink free throws to win the game.

I can do that and maybe claim a little fame

Know that upping your game may never be risk free

You say, I can do that, now others will say show me.

A Blast of Winter

January 26, 2026 by Bill McNulty

To slow down your daily travel hustle,

Mother Natures flexes her winter muscle.

Those little white flakes continue to fall.

Causing so many travel plans to stall.

Plow trucks are out doing their thing.

Waiting for what tomorrow may bring.

Who is open and who is closed today?

Skies are almost clear but oh so gray.

Unless you are brave enough to face the cold

So many of those nice winter plans go on hold.

Weather forecast shows another storm.

Time to stay in, hot drink, safe and warm.

Need That Creative Spark

January 19, 2026 by Bill McNulty

Sometimes in my imagination, there’s a creative spark

A story to tell with energy that helps you hit the mark

Some days, that imagination is where you need it most

Right message when there is something you must post.

A story to tell, art to paint, maybe a new verse to write

Imagination, creativity, please don’t desert me tonight.

Write and rewrite until your creativity gets it right

Creativity dreams may just keep you up at night

Does that creative spark come from family genes?

Maybe you can picture your work on movie screens

A brand-new musical composition that really scores

Never lose that creative spark that is truly all yours.

The Treasures We Look For

January 12, 2026 by Bill McNulty

For some, looking for that rainbow and pot of gold

Is a lifelong journey with wild dreams easily sold.

And if you find your dreams of that treasure

What will be your first steps of rich pleasure

A $2.00 lottery ticket and maybe you can score

Always be careful of dreaming for a little more.

Some dreams of treasure have you swimming upstream

Some pictures of treasure are just having a special dream.

For many there will always be treasures they hope to find.

For others, that rainbow is simply having peace of mind.
